LifeSpring’s Children’s Ministers highly recommend SuperStart! as a delightful and valuable experience. Every facet of the weekend is tailored to the specific needs of preteens. Go to http://www.ciy.com/superstart for more details or click here for an event preview.
Will my child be chaperoned by a LifeSpring adult?
Yes. Your preteen and about 4 other 4th-6th graders from LifeSpring will be with an assigned LifeSpring adult for every activity during the weekend. Cell phone numbers of Children’s Ministers and key chaperones will be provided in advance for emergency contact. All chaperones will have completed a background check in advance.
Where should LifeSpring preteens meet for traveling together to SuperStart!
Meet at your LifeSpring site. You will return to the same location at the conclusion of the conference. Confirm this meeting place with your Children’s Minister.
What time do we leave from and return to LifeSpring?

Are you the mom of a preschooler? Do you need a break from diapers and ABCs? Do you just need to talk to someone who can answer in more than one syllable? We know what it’s like to be a mom of young children, and that’s why we’re here. MOPS (Mothers of PreSchoolers) is a group of moms that meets monthly to share experiences, learn, and encourage one another.
LifeSpring Clovernook MOPS Meets the first Wednesday of the month, September—May
From 9:15 to 11:15 a.m.
At LifeSpring Clovernook
LifeSpring MOPS meetings include breakfast or snacks and time to visit with other moms, as well as a craft, game, or special speaker. While moms are in the meeting, the children are cared for by loving volunteers in age-appropriate classrooms. These MOPS groups also sponsor regular playdates for moms and kids, and some moms-only nights out.
For more information about the MOPS groups at the Clovernook and Westside sites, contact Kerry Kloth.

"God doesn't want us to be shy with his gifts, but bold and loving and sensible." - 2 Timothy 1:7
BOLD, LOVING, SENSIBLE
Developing a mothering strategy is somewhat like playing a game—and this year’s theme is appropriately game related. Have fun being a mom! Playing games involves being bold and taking risks, loving those in the game with us, and being sensible while figuring out what works and what doesn’t.
In real life and in games, unexpected, “chance” events occur, abruptly changing our paths. We must regroup and determine our next steps. Sometimes we follow the instructions of “experts.” Sometimes we follow the advice of trusted friends. Sometimes we decide our “house rules” work best for our family. Teaming together with other moms is a great strategy. Relying on a spouse or mentor can help us play more effectively. And, most of all, developing a strong God-Sense is essential for mothering.
Combining your mom intuition and your common sense will help you discover your own unique MomSense.
The spiritual foundation of Momsense is from 2 Timothy 1. As you read the chapter, you see that Timothy had a strong mother and grandmother who nurtured his faith. Paul exhorts Timothy to use the gifts God has given him in a bold, loving, and sensible way.
Mom Intuition + Common Sense = MomSense
MomSense equips moms to embrace their mothering instincts and develop their own parenting style while navigating through the myriad of daily mom decisions. Most women wonder:
• How do I decide what to do when I really don’t know what to do?
• Should I trust my intuition?
• With so much available information, how do I discern what’s best?
• What are the most important family values?
For more information or to sign up for MOPS, contact Kerry Kloth.
