A gift to those in need can be a gift to Jesus. If you would like to give a Christmas gift to someone in need this year, LifeSpring provides various opportunities for your monetary gifts to be used in practical ways. Here are three places in which your gift would honor Jesus’ birth this Christmas season:
1. Local—Christmas Gifts for Church and Community Families. Every year, LifeSpring helps families—especially families with children—in the church and in the surrounding communities with gifts for Christmas. These gifts will serve families near the Clovernook, Westside, and Harrison locations. Deadline is Sunday, December 11
2. Inner City—Assist the State Avenue Church of Christ’s ministry in Lower Price Hill, a very needy area of the city. There are two ways to help:
- We desire to provide 50 hams for families’ Christmas dinners. Deadline is Sunday, December 11
- OR, send a kid to summer camp. For an inner city kid, a week at summer camp is often the high point of the year. It costs $150 per child—cover all or part of the cost. Deadline is December 30
3. World—Community Development in India. Jay Henry, an Indian national whom LifeSpring supports, has started more than 90 churches, many in very poor areas of India. This mission is now initiating programs in villages to help people come to self‑sufficiency and to enable them to support their own churches. $40 will provide a goat. $125 will provide a sewing machine. These gifts help the families, the communities, and the churches. Deadline is Sunday, December 25
If you would like to give a Christmas gift for any of these needs, please use a “Love Offering” envelope (available at all worship locations), make checks payable to LifeSpring Christian Church, and designate clearly the “gift” you’re giving toward. Or, you can give online .
Please give your Christmas Gift of Love by the date indicated. |
