Our small groups provide three main things:
There are few things that are as exciting and worthwhile as diving into
the Bible with a group of friends. A small group is a place where you
can study the Bible in an interactive way. Ask the tough questions.
Wrestle with the answers. Engage in discussion with others who are
looking for relevant solutions to life's dilemmas.
Small groups are where relationships get down to the nitty gritty—where
friends can really know one another. These are the people we pray with,
play with, cry with and want to be with. It's about lasting friendships.
Serving
each other and the world around us makes us more like Jesus. Your small
group will be there for you (to help carry the boxes when you move; to
visit when you’re sick). And they will need you to be there for them.
Jesus said that he came into the world to serve, not to be served. As
your group goes out to serve in our communities, you’ll experience the
joy of giving that Jesus described.
We ask that each of our members will be part of a small group, so we
have many different types of groups. Some groups are mostly young
singles; other are couples with young children, while many groups have
mix of ages and marital status. There are two main kinds of groups:
These groups meet at the Clovernook building and are called Bible School Classes. We have classes at both 9:00 and 10:30. There are children's programs that run simultaneously which provide a great place for kids to grow and learn.
These groups typically meet in homes throughout the week and are called
Lifegroups. They tend to be a little smaller than our Sunday groups and
a little more informal. These groups usually do not provide childcare.
