Lavelle Thompson, Worship Minister, joined the Lifespring staff in the summer of 2017. He was drawn to Lifespring because of his passion to serve in a multicultural church. “Growing up in the African American Church and going to a Christian school, I saw a huge difference in the separation of churches, not just denominations, but racially as well. I knew in my heart I didn’t like the separation of churches. We are all God’s children, so why do we separate ourselves?” After visiting Lifespring several times, praying about the opportunity, talking with his wife, and meeting with the leaders; Lavelle knew Lifespring was the place for him to serve.
Lavelle graduated from Cincinnati Christian University and has served as a youth minister and associate minister at his home church, as well as lead director of the music department there. Currently, he also works as a Teen Director for the Boys and Girls Club of Greater Cincinnati and a Guest Service Representative at the Courtyard Marriott Rookwood.
Since 2017, Lavelle has been married to his wife Moriah. In his spare time, he likes to spend time with friends and family. He also enjoys video gaming, particularly sports games like Madden and NBA 2K.
